Fix: "Label" Text Appears Instead of Pricing Category

Resolve the booking form showing the literal word "Label" instead of your pricing category name by switching your permalink structure to Post name.

What causes this issue

If your travelers see the word "Label" after they pick a date, your site is usually using the wrong permalink setting. A pricing category is the label your travelers see for each price option, such as Adult, Child, or Group. For example, on a day tour booking form, a traveler should see Adult and Child instead of the word "Label".

A permalink is the web address WordPress creates for your pages and posts. WP Travel Engine uses the Post name permalink structure to show the correct pricing category names in the booking form. If your site is set to Plain, the plugin may not be able to load those names correctly.

This issue affects the display of pricing category names only. It does not affect pricing, availability, or the ability to complete a booking.

Once you change the permalink setting, the correct labels usually show up right away. The steps below walk you through it.

What you'll need before you start: access to your WordPress dashboard, where you manage your site settings and plugins.

Open Permalink Settings

This setting controls how WordPress builds page links across your site.

In your WordPress dashboard, go to Settings > Permalinks. You will find Settings in the left-hand menu.

Select Post name

This tells WP Travel Engine how to pull in the right pricing category name.

Choose Post name from the list of available permalink structures. If you run tours with pages like trek details, day trips, or multi-day packages, this setting helps those booking pages show labels like Adult or Child correctly.

Save changes

Saving updates the link structure across your site.

Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page. After the page refreshes, your new permalink setting is active.

Verify on the trip page

This final check confirms the booking form is showing the right traveler-facing labels.

Open one of your trip pages. Select a date on the booking form. You should now see your real pricing category names instead of "Label." For example, a family booking a rafting trip should see Adult and Child if those are the labels you set.

Changing your permalink structure can affect existing URLs on your site. If your site depends on a specific permalink structure for SEO or existing links, review the impact before saving, or plan to set up redirects for any URLs that change.

If the labels look right now, you are done. If not, the quick checks below usually clear up the last few issues.

Still seeing "Label" after switching?

If the issue is still there, work through these checks one by one.

  • Re-save your permalink settings a second time - this forces WordPress to flush its rewrite rules.
  • Clear any caching plugin and your browser cache, then reload the trip page. A cache is a saved copy of a page that helps it load faster, but it can also keep showing an older version of the booking form.
  • Confirm the pricing category itself has a label set under Trips > Pricing Categories.
