How to Change the Adult, Child Label
Rename the Adult, Child, or Infant pricing category labels shown on your trip pricing widget from Dashboard > Trips > Pricing Categories.
Why the Adult, Child, and Infant labels matter
Your trip pricing section uses pricing categories to show who each price is for. These usually start as Adult, Child, and Infant.
These labels appear on the trip pricing widget and at checkout. A pricing widget is the price box your visitors use when they choose dates, travelers, or package options on a trip page.
You are not locked into the default names. The labels come from your pricing category settings, so you can change them to fit the way you sell trips.
That helps when your pricing does not follow the usual adult and child setup. For example, you might want to use Senior for a cultural day tour, Student for a museum package, or a local-language label for treks sold in your home market.
Change an existing pricing category label
What you'll need before you start: access to your WordPress dashboard and permission to manage trips and pricing categories.
If you already have the right pricing category and only want to change the name people see, this is the quickest way to do it.
Open Pricing Categories
Start from the left sidebar of your WordPress dashboard.
Click Trips and then Pricing Categories. This opens the list of pricing categories your site is already using.
Select the category to rename
Find the category you want to change in the list.
Click Adult, Child, or whichever label you want to update. If you run different types of tours, this is where you might change Child to Student for a city tour or Adult to Standard Guest for a group package.
Edit the label
You are now editing the category itself.
Update the label field with the new name you want to show on the front end. Use the wording your customers will understand right away.
Save your changes
Save the category after you update the label.
The new name will now appear anywhere that pricing category is shown, including the trip pricing widget and checkout. Once that is done, you can move on to adding a new category if you need one.
Relabeling a pricing category only changes its display name. It does not change its price, availability rules, or which trips use it.
Add a new pricing category instead
If none of your current labels fit, add a new category instead of renaming one you already use. This works well when you want to keep Adult and Child but also add something like Senior, Student, or a special rate for a seasonal package.
What you'll need before you start: access to Trips > Pricing Categories in your WordPress dashboard.
Go to Pricing Categories
Open your WordPress dashboard and look at the left sidebar.
Click Trips and then Pricing Categories. This takes you to the same place where your current pricing labels are managed.
Add a new category
Create a new pricing category and give it the label you need.
For example, you might add Senior for a heritage walk, Student for a school group trip, or Gear Rental if you use pricing categories to separate add-on style pricing on certain packages.
Assign it to your trips
After you create the category, turn it on for the trips where it should appear.
Then set the price for that category on each trip. This is useful if only some of your treks, day tours, or multi-day packages need that extra rate.
