How to Configure Enquiry Email
Set up the enquiry confirmation email your travelers receive after they contact you, so they know their trip question reached you.
Configure your enquiry email
Enquiry emails are the messages a potential customer receives after filling out the enquiry form on one of your trip pages. This confirms that their enquiry was received. Say a traveler fills out your enquiry form asking about a 5-day Annapurna trek - this email is what they will receive in their inbox right after.
If you are new to WordPress, the Dashboard is the main admin area. You will find the menu on the left sidebar after you log in.
To open the Enquiry email settings, go to Dashboard → WP Travel Engine → Settings → Emails → Notification → Enquiry. This is where you can manage the email notification customers receive after they submit an enquiry.
This is the area where you control the enquiry confirmation email. Next, you can choose what your travelers will see after they contact you.
Set up your enquiry email
What you'll need before you start: Log in to your WordPress Dashboard and open WP Travel Engine → Settings → Emails → Notification → Enquiry.
Turn on Notification
This setting matters because it unlocks the email fields you need to edit.
Find the Notification option and enable it. When you turn on Notification, additional settings become available for customization.
Once it is on, you are ready to fill in the email details.
Enter the Name
This helps you recognize the purpose of the email inside your settings.
In the Name field, enter the title of the email. This reflects the purpose of the message being sent. For example, you might use "Trip Enquiry Confirmation" so you can quickly tell what this email is for later.
When the name looks clear to you, move on to the subject line.
Write the Subject
The subject is the first line your customer sees in their inbox. A clear subject helps them know their enquiry went through.
In the Subject field, enter the subject line for the inquiry confirmation email. You can use different personalization tags to personalize it as needed. For example, if someone asks about your Everest Base Camp trip, a subject that includes the trip name can feel more personal and easier to recognize.
Once the subject feels clear, you can write the message itself.
Edit the Email Content
This is the main message your traveler will read. It is a good place to reassure them that you received their enquiry and will follow up.
In Email Content, customize the email content and use personalization tags to make it more functional. You might thank the traveler for reaching out and let them know when they can expect a reply.
When the message sounds right for your business, your enquiry email setup is in good shape.
