Footer Settings (Travel Monster Pro)
Remove the author and WordPress links from your website footer so it looks clean and professional for your travelers.
Travel Monster Pro lets you hide two links that normally appear at the bottom of your website. These are the author link and the WordPress link. They show up in the copyright text in your footer. The footer is the strip at the very bottom of every page on your website.
Say a traveler scrolls to the bottom of your trek booking page to look for your contact details. They see links pointing to someone else's website or to WordPress.org. These links can make your footer look less professional. With these settings, you can remove them.
You might find other methods online to hide these links. Some of those methods can hurt your SEO (search engine optimization - how easily your website appears in Google search results). This built-in setting is the safe way to remove these links from your footer.
What you'll need before you start
Make sure Travel Monster Pro is installed, activated, and has a valid license. You will also need access to your WordPress dashboard.
Open the footer settings
These settings live in the Customizer. The Customizer is a live preview tool in WordPress. It lets you see your changes before you publish them.
Open the Customizer
From the left sidebar of your WordPress dashboard, select Appearance. Then select Customize.
The Customizer opens with a preview of your website. Your changes will appear in the preview as you make them.
Open the footer options
In the Customizer, select General Settings. Then select Footer Settings. Then select Bottom Footer.
You will see the options for hiding the author and WordPress links.
Preview and save your changes
Turn on the options you want and check the preview at the bottom of your website. When the footer looks right, select Publish at the top of the Customizer.
Your footer changes are now saved. You can adjust any option again from the same area.
Footer link settings
Two settings are available in the Bottom Footer panel:

The author link points to the person or company who built your theme. The WordPress link points to WordPress.org. Both normally appear in the small copyright line at the bottom of your website. Turning either option on removes that link from the copyright text.
For example, if your footer currently says "Powered by WordPress" with a link, turning on the Hide WordPress Link option removes that link. The text stays, but the clickable link is gone. You can do the same for the author link.
If these options do not appear in your Customizer, check that Travel Monster Pro is installed, activated, and licensed. The options only show up when the Pro add-on is active.
