Install and Activate Travel Monster Pro
Step-by-step instructions for installing and activating the Travel Monster Pro plugin on your WordPress website.
What Travel Monster Pro adds
Travel Monster Pro adds paid features to the Travel Monster theme. It includes premium starter templates and more ways to customize your travel website.
A plugin is an add-on that gives your WordPress website extra features. Travel Monster Pro works with the free Travel Monster theme.
Before you begin
Make sure the free Travel Monster theme is already installed on your website. If you have not installed it yet, install the theme before adding Travel Monster Pro.
You also need an active Travel Monster Pro purchase. Your purchase lets you download the plugin file. If you have not purchased it yet, visit the Travel Monster Pro product page.
Install and activate the plugin
Installing a plugin means uploading a small file to your WordPress site and turning it on. This is the same process you'll use for any premium WordPress plugin, so it's worth getting comfortable with.
Say you run a 3-day mountain trekking company. Travel Monster Pro gives you premium templates that already look like a professional tour booking site. Instead of building every page from scratch, you start with a design that's made for travel businesses and adjust from there.
Before you start, make sure you have both of these ready:
- The free Travel Monster theme already installed and activated on your WordPress site
- Your Travel Monster Pro purchase confirmation email or account login (so you can download the plugin file)
Download the Travel Monster Pro plugin file
Go to the Travel Monster Pro product page and log in to your account. Download the plugin file to your computer.
The file will be a zip file (a compressed folder). If you downloaded it earlier, check your computer's Downloads folder. WordPress needs the file in that format, so don't unzip it.
Log in to your WordPress dashboard
Your dashboard is the control panel for your website. You can reach it by adding /wp-admin to the end of your website address (for example, yourtourcompany.com/wp-admin).
Enter the username and password you set up when you created your WordPress site.
Open the plugin upload page
On the left side of your dashboard, find the menu labeled Plugins. Click it, then click Add New at the top of the page.
You'll see a button at the top of the screen that says Upload Plugin. That's the one you want.
Upload the plugin file
Click Upload Plugin. Then click Choose File and select the zip file you downloaded in Step 1.
This sends the plugin file from your computer to your WordPress website.
Install the plugin
Click Install Now. WordPress will unpack and install the plugin for you.
Wait for the progress message to finish. You'll know it's done when you see an "Installation successful" message.
Activate the plugin
Click Activate on the success page that appears after installation.
Activating tells WordPress to start running the plugin. Without this step, the plugin is installed but not doing anything yet.
