Header and Footer Builder

Design fully customized header and footer layouts for your Travel Monster site using Elementor and the WPTE Builder.

Overview

The Header and Footer Builder lets you design the top and bottom sections of your Travel Monster website the way you want. You build them with Elementor, which is a page builder plugin. It gives you a drag-and-drop editor so you can design your site without writing code.

This matters when the default header and footer layouts do not fit your tour business. You might want a header with your logo, trek categories, and a phone number. Or you might want a footer with contact details, popular trip links, and social media. The builder gives you more flexibility than the theme’s pre-built options.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure these are ready in your WordPress site.

  • The latest version of the Travel Monster theme is installed and activated
  • The Elementor plugin is installed and activated
  • The WTE Elementor plugin is installed and activated

A theme controls the overall design and layout of your website. A plugin adds extra features to WordPress, such as a builder, widgets, or booking tools.

Building a custom header

Your header is the first thing people see at the top of your site. It is a good place to show your brand and help visitors reach your tours fast.

What you'll need before you start:

  • Access to your WordPress admin area
  • A clear idea of what you want in your header
  • A few minutes to build and save it

A trekking company, for example, might want a header with its logo, links to Everest and Annapurna trips, and a phone number for quick inquiries.

Create a new header

This step gives you a new header layout to work on.

  1. On the left sidebar of your WordPress dashboard, go to WPTE Builder > Header Builder.
  2. Click Add New.
  3. Enter a name for your header.
  4. Click Publish.

Your new header is now saved and ready to edit. Next, you can design how it looks.

Edit the header with Elementor

This step is where you build the layout your visitors will see.

Click Edit with Elementor to open the editor. Elementor is the drag-and-drop editor where you place sections and widgets on the page. A widget is a content block you can add, move, and style.

Travel Monster includes four custom Elementor widgets for headers:

  1. Navigation Menu - add your main menu or a custom menu
  2. Contact - show your phone number, email, or address
  3. Search - add a search bar across your site
  4. Site Logo - display your logo and link it to your homepage

You can also use other Elementor widgets if they help your layout. Add buttons, social icons, announcements, or promotional messages when you need them.

Take your time here. When the header looks right, you are ready to turn it on for your site.

Apply the custom header

This step makes your new header show on the front of your website.

  1. Go to Appearance > Customize > Main Header > Header Builder.
  2. Under Type of Header, select Builder.
  3. Choose the header you created.

Your custom header should now appear on your site. Once that is working, you can build the footer the same way.

Your footer works the same way as your header. It is the section at the bottom of your site, and it is a good place for contact details, useful links, social media, or business information.

A tour operator might use the footer to show office contact details, links to popular day tours or multi-day packages, and social media links for travelers who want to keep in touch.

What you'll need before you start:

  • Access to your WordPress admin area
  • A list of the details or links you want in your footer
  • A footer layout in mind, even if it is only a simple one

A footer can start small. You can always come back and add more later.

Create a new footer

This step gives you a new footer layout to design.

  1. On the left sidebar of your WordPress dashboard, go to WPTE Builder > Footer Builder.
  2. Click Add New.
  3. Enter a name for your footer.
  4. Click Publish.

Your footer is now ready to edit. The next step is where you add your content and layout.

Edit the footer with Elementor

This step lets you arrange the information people often look for at the bottom of your site.

Click Edit with Elementor to open the editor. From there, add the sections and widgets you want for your footer. You might include contact details, links to seasonal pricing pages, group discount information, or popular tour categories.

Keep the layout clear and easy to scan. When the footer looks the way you want, you can apply it to your site.

Apply the custom footer

This step makes your new footer appear across your website.

  1. Go to Appearance > Customize > Footer Settings > Footer Builder.
  2. Under Type of Footer, select Builder.
  3. Choose the footer you created.

Your custom footer should now be live. If you want to refine it later, you can reopen it in Elementor and update it at any time.
